Welcome

Founded in 1922, the Izaak Walton League of America is one of the nation's oldest and most respected conservation organizations.

Since being granted the 25th charter from the Izaak Walton League of America in 1929, the Claytor Lake Chapter has striven to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the natural resources of the United States of America, Commonwealth of Virginia, with emphasis on the Claytor Lake area, State of Virginia, including particularly, but not exclusively, forest, soil, waters and wildlife.
It is our goal to educate our members as well as others of the importance of being good stewards of the environment and to promote a wholesome family environment so all can enjoy the outdoors and related activities such as fishing, camping and boating.

Chapter members: Please be sure to visit the NEWS and Meeting Planner page to stay informed on chapter news.
